Herăstrău Park, officially King Michael I Park, surrounds a large lake and is one of Bucharest's favourite places for walking, dining and relaxing. Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP), commonly known as Otopeni Airport, is located in the town of Otopeni, around 16.5 km north of central Bucharest. It is the city's main international airport and the arrival point for most visitors flying into the Romanian capital.
The journey into Bucharest takes you south towards the city, with travel time depending on your destination and traffic. Central areas such as Piața Victoriei, Universitate and the Old Town are further into the city, while destinations in northern Bucharest are naturally closer to the airport.
